Harrison School District is accepting applications for an early childhood special educator position for the 2021-2022 school year. The position will be a full time (1.0 FTE) teaching position. Applicants must
possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. 
 
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
● create a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth
● create and deliver specialized instruction in accordance with CEC High Leverage Practices
● establish effective rapport with pupils
● motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to achieve at high levels
● provide quality special education services in inclusive environments
● formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and other staff members
● use progress monitoring data, building and state-level data, and behavior data to drive student
programming
● develop and maintain compliant due process paperwork, including early childhood transition
● schedule and lead IEP meetings in accordance with Arkansas DESE rules and regulations
● demonstrate effective communication within the school community
● effectively manage paraprofessional(s) under your supervision
● effectively use learning management systems and digital resources (Canvas, Google Classroom,
etc) for the provision of virtual learning.
● attain or possess Google Level One Certification
