School Based Mental Health Therapist

Position Description:     
SBMH Therapist

Job Requirements:         

• Attends and participates in student team meetings to provide: education, consultation recommendations and assists with classroom observations, behavior supports and behavior intervention plans, crisis management 
• Provides prevention/education in-services to district staff as well as parents, crisis interventions, threat assessments, safety plans, and treatment coordination
• Provides direct services to students such as: intake assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, case management
• Provides direct services to parents/families of students served such as: family therapy, case management, parent education, treatment coordination and referrals as indicated
• Documents all services provided and when applicable, obtains Medicaid approval for services and then completes Medicaid billing forms for services rendered
• Participates in program evaluation and quality assurance activities

Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 25 lbs., bending, stooping, carrying items and walking highly mobile job making campus visits on daily basis

Educational:                  
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
Arkansas Licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
Ability to bill AR Medicaid and/or AR KIDS A for mental health services provided.
Experienced preferred

Salary:                          
Per Salary Schedule/190 day contract
