Position Description: 
240 Day Administrative Assistant

Qualifications:            

1.  Experience in bookkeeping and educational environment preferred

2.  Experience in APSCN/eFinance preferred

3.  Experience in Human Resources preferred          

4.  Experience in Accounts Receivable preferred

5.  Experience in Payroll preferred

6.  Experience with MS Office Suite and Google Suite preferred

Report to: 
Business Manager

Job Goal:  
Human Resources/Accounts Receivable, under the direction of the Business Manager, is expected to perform his or her duties in such a manner as to ensure the accurate, efficient, and economic utilization of the human and financial resources of the Harrison School District.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Initiate, record, and track all insurance deductions and billing remittances for school employees. 
  2. Responsible for presenting insurance information and maintaining new hire records. 
  3. Maintain HIPAA and other privacy laws concerning applicable duties.
  4. Perform data entry in multiple systems regarding new hires, current employees, and separations.
  5. Inform of, record, track, and maintain FMLA guidelines between employees and the District to ensure compliance with federal laws.
  6. Complete, send, and file all Verifications of Employment, teaching experience verification forms, unemployment, and loan forgiveness forms.
  7. Update and maintain the District’s benefits site and available information.
  8. Provide support, assistance, education, and necessary forms during Open Enrollment periods.
  9. Track employee data and file reports for ACA compliance.
  10. Act as the District’s Worker’s Compensation Coordinator.
  11. Financial, Reporting, and Other General Duties:
    1. Perform financial data entry in eFinance, including journal entries.
    2. Provide financial statements to all schools, Administration, and the Board of Education.
    3. Receipt, log, prep for deposit, and input all District revenue.
    4. Monthly reconcile District financial records and accounts.
    5. Assist in preparing for the annual audit of the District.
    6. Assist the Business Manager with various tasks as needed. 
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
