 Position Description:
Special Education Paraprofessional: Self-Contained  

Job Requirements: (include but are not limited to)
60 college hours or passing score for Arkansas on ETS Praxis Parapro Test
Attend training as required by the District
Work under the direction of the classroom teacher
Provide Personal Care (feeding, toileting, hygiene, lifting) to students
Possess the ability to stoop, kneel, lift/move up to 40 pounds
Chart student data
Accompany students to and from school activities, indoor and outdoor, and participate in the activities as directed
Assist students up/down steps and stairs and in/out of vehicles
Possess the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
Maintain confidentiality 
Demonstrate effective behavior intervention
