Special Education Paraprofessional
Harrison School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional position for the 2022-2023 school year. The position will be a full time (1.0 FTE) Primary duties will focus on working with children under the direction of the classroom teacher. Applicants must possess one of the appropriate AQT requirements, 60 college hours or passing score for Arkansas on ETS Praxis Paraprofessional Test. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
The district is seeking an individual who can:
Provide personal care to students
Work under the direction of the classroom teacher
Possess the ability to stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 40 pounds
Work with students in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings
Form positive relationships with parents, students and other staff members
Demonstrate effective communication within the school community
Assist students with academic needs
Maintain confidentiality
