Special Education Teacher - Harrison High School
Harrison School District is accepting applications for a special education teacher position for the 2024-
2025 school year. The position will be a full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching position. Applicants must possess
appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
● Job Requirements: (Include, but not limited to)
o Create and deliver specialized instruction in accordance with CEC High Leverage Practices
o Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to achieve at high levels
o Provide quality special education services in inclusive environments
o Formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and staff
o Use progress monitoring data, building and state-level data, and behavior data to drive student programming
o Develop and maintain compliant due process paperwork
o Schedule and lead IEP meetings in accordance with Arkansas DESE rules and regulations
o Effectively use learning management systems and digital resources for the provision of digital learning
o Effectively manage paraprofessional(s) under your supervision
o Attain or possess Google Level One Certification
