Description
Harrison School District is accepting applications for a Science Teacher / Asst. HS Volleyball (2nd sport tbd) position for the 2025/2026 school year. The position will be a full-time (1.0 FTE) 9-12 teaching
position. Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
● Job Requirements: (Include, but not limited to)
o Arkansas DESE 9-12 Life/Physical Science certification
o Arkansas Qualified Teacher Status
o AP training and experience preferred
o Create and deliver specialized instruction following Science standards
o Utilize High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM)
o Create a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth
o Appropriate classroom management skills and establish rapport with students
o Effective engagement of students in the classroom
o Formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and other staff members
o Demonstrate effective communication within the school community
o Must engage in collaboration and the PLC process
o Effectively use LMS and digital resources (CANVAS/Google Classroom)
o Attain or possess Google Level One Certification
